      Deleting Datasets

      Information on how to delete a Historian Dataset

      Delete an Entire Dataset

      Follow this procedure to permanently delete a Dataset:

      1. Ensure you are no longer actively logging tags to the Dataset.
      2. Stop the Historian service.
      3. Navigate to the data storage location for the datasets, the default location is C:\ProgramData\Flow Software\Timebase\Historian\Data.
      4. Delete the entire dataset folder.
      5. Restart the Historian service.

      ⚠️ Important: The above steps permanently deletes the entire Dataset and all previously logged history. Only follow these steps if you are certain you wish to permanently delete a Dataset and all of the tags, values, and properties held within.
