      Moving to a New Beta Version

      How to uninstall and reinstall a new version of Timebase Beta software

      Moving to a new version of the Timebase Beta requires the complete uninstallation and then reinstallation of the new version.

      Prior to uninstalling or deleting the current Timebase version, backup or copy and paste the contents of the following config and settings files:

      Historian

      • appsettings.json

      Collector

      • appsettings.json and appconfig.json

      Depending on the number of logging sessions, you may have multiple Collector folders. Backup all appsettings.json and appconfig.json files.

      Additionally, note the folder structure and be prepared to reproduce that structure.

       

      Delete or uninstall all Timebase instances.

      Install or deploy your new Timebase Beta version.

      Overwrite the newly created appsettings.json and appconfig.json files with your backups.

      Launch the Collector, Historian, and Explorer executables.
